Foundation Learning Tier

Foundation Learning Tier is a small bespoke area of the curriculum that provides an environment for student to flourish, build confidence and independence.  We offer a variety of BTEC vocational subjects, which run alongside the core GCSE subjects.  There is an opportunity for a work experience placement in Year 11, as well as a huge variety of off-site visits to colleges, London, Duxford, Norwich and local National Trust properties, as part of the Travel and Tourism course.

Students who study with the Foundation Learning Tier traditionally transition to vocational qualifications at college, eventually following careers in a variety of settings, including the caring sector, hospitality, catering and engineering.

If you would like any further information about the curriculum please contact the Head of Department.

Further information about our foundation learning tier curriculum can be found in the links to the right, by year group.
