D&T Explorers 

Students explore design problems and manufacture an LED light. 

 

Pencil Case 

Students design and manufacture their own pencil case learning about a range of textiles. 

 

 

 

 

Clock 

Design of a clock using pine and aluminium looking at: 

  • Metals 
  • Working with Aluminium 
  • Components 
  • CAD 
  • Evaluating sketch up 

 

D&T Explorers 

Students explore design problems looking at salt and pepper pots for disabled users. 

 

Mis-Fit 

Students design and manufacture their very own mis-fit doll. 

 

 

 

 

Moneybox 

Manufacturing a moneybox/Phone stand looking at: 

  • Plastics including Acrylic 
  • CAD/CAM 
  • Plastic forming processes 

 

 

Systems 

Looking at systems including Inputs, Processes and Outputs 

 

Great British Fake Off 

Students work with a range of Textiles to manufacture a variety of different foods. 

 

Students will complete a test at the end of each module and this will count towards 50% of their grade.
