Why Study Food Preparation & Nutrition?
By the end of their time at Soham Village College, we would like our students to understand food practical skills and nutrition. This means students will have the knowledge and skills to safely produce good quality products that will be nutritionally beneficial to themselves and their families. In addition, our students will develop an understanding of food science principles to help develop their problem-solving skills. It is our ambition that our students will have the confidence to plan, prepare and cook a range of dishes suitable for a range of dietary needs and purposes and to have a positive relationship with food and cooking for the rest of their lives.
