Why Study Science?

In science, we develop confident, resilient and empathetic students with a natural curiosity about life, how things work and our place in the universe. We create a positive learning environment that encourages independent learning and critical thinking so that students develop an enquiring mind. We promote equality & inclusion where every child matters and encourage students to work collaboratively with peers regardless of their background, gender, race, belief or ability. We build a ‘can do’ attitude, where students feel safe to express their views and to apply their knowledge and understanding to new and unfamiliar context. This means they are better able to reach their full potential and in doing so move forward to become successful, well-rounded individuals in their chosen professions.
