Cambridge Literary Festival

A group of year 9 and year 10 students attended an event at the Cambridge Union, as part of this year’s Cambridge Literary Festival. Students heard from world-renowned and award-winning authors Bernadine Evaristo and Ali Smith, who were joined by David Herd from Refugee Tales. Inspired by The Litmus School Writing Project, run by Trinity College, the theme of this event, chosen by Ali Smith, was ‘Over the Border’. All students received a copy of ‘Refugee Tales,’ which combines authors’ retellings and first-hand accounts of those who have been detained all over the world.
