Staploe Samba

Staploe trust students were delighted to be invited to perform during May half term, as part of the long weekend of celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Students from across the Staploe Trust schools performed in the main arena on the recreation ground in Soham, as part of an afternoon of celebrations and entertainment for the local community. Confidently led by Fraser in Year 11, students performed their vibrant, rhythmic and energetic music to a large crowd, sporting their new “Staploe Samba” t-shirts. This was the first time Staploe Samba had performed in public and we look forward to many more opportunities to share our music with the local community. The group rehearses every Monday afternoon at Soham Village College Performing Arts Centre from 3:20 – 3:50pm and is free of charge to any students attending a Staploe Trust school. If your child is interested in joining Staploe Samba then please email Gemma Perry at gperry@soham-college.org.uk for more information.
