  • Who are the Friends?

    Soham Village College has always enjoyed the loyalty and support of those in its community.  We would like to form a Friends group as a means by which anyone, including many former governors, staff and students might choose to further their contact with the College, contribute to the education of young people and the life of a vibrant community.

  • Aims

    The chief aim of the Friends is to continue supporting the College through:

    • The provision of help and advice for the College where and when appropriate
    • The fostering of interest in and support for the College in the wider community
    • The pooled resource of Friends’ diverse skills, experience and expertise
    • The opportunity to contribute, as The Friends, to enrichment projects

  • Benefits

    Friends of the College will enjoy:

    • A termly mailing to keep Friends informed about developments at the College
    • Invitations to key College events, including the Ely Cathedral Christmas Concert; Annual School Production; Young Musician of the Year Final; Art Wine & View Exhibition; Language Exchange Welcome Buffets; Celebration Evenings; etc.
    • A copy of the termly school magazine
    • Opportunities to support particular events or initiatives in school
    • A Friends Annual Gathering, at which to meet other Friends and to celebrate the talent of our students
