  • Operations Director

    Salary range £22,172 to £24,800 pro-rata (based on fte £37,578 - £42,032)
    25 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
    (Salary depending on qualifications, skills and experience)

    We are looking to appoint a new senior position of Operations Director within the
    Staploe Education Trust. The key purpose of this role is to lead financial and commercial operations for the Trust.

    We are looking for an effective leader who is able to work comfortably at a strategic level and has significant experience of business-planning, budgetary-control processes and financial-management. You will be responsible for managing and developing the Trust wide budget (currently approx. £8.5M per annum), ensuring it provides value for money and optimum delivery of the Trust’s strategic priorities.

    Striving for excellence at all times, you will work with senior leaders to develop and
    implement an effective Trust wide strategy, identifying current and future operational
    needs of each school.

    You will lead and ensure delivery of agreed Trust projects to promote the Trust’s aims and to develop marketing and communications within and beyond the schools. You will act as Company Secretary ensuring compliance and that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding the Trust’s financial affairs.

    Required from September 2014, an exceptional talent looking for a unique developmental role with a training commitment from the school leading to the National SENCo award.
     
    The successful candidate will join an inspired and well-resourced Additional Needs provision.  The main focus of the role will involve leading a nurture type group entering the school at Level 2 in Maths and English.  With your skills, tenacity and insight we will support these students to achieve two levels of progress within these subjects during KS3.  You will have generous planning time and access to expertise and guidance to ensure these students reach their goal.  The successful candidate could have a proven background of meeting students’ needs in either KS2 or KS3.
     
    The College is oversubscribed and enjoys a considerable reputation in the local area for its academic excellence and caring ethos. It is very well resourced and situated in spacious grounds.
