Excellent GCSE Results for the Class of 2017
Students from Soham Village College are celebrating another excellent set of results. Some of the GCSE grading has changed this year but it is clear that Soham’s students have again performed well.
67% of students achieved the equivalent of grades A* -C in both maths and English and over 50 students achieved A*-A grades or equivalent in most of their subjects.
Notable performances were made by students of all abilities including Alice Sizer who gained the highest possible grade of 9 in the new English Language, English Literature and maths GCSEs in addition to a further 7 A* grades. Other students who achieved the very highest grades in most of their subjects included Robert Armer; Jodie Brown; Edward Chen; Emily Gillings; Helen Hall; Eve Henderson; Ellis Hociej; Felix Jewkes; Spencer Morris; Anna Peake; Martha Scott; Izzy Townsend and Amy Watson.
